A TRAFFIC JAM
Due to some cause if a number of
vehicles remain still and cannot move, then it is called traffic jam. It is a
common and regular affair in our daily life. Everybody knows that is has become
a serious social problem in our country. We cannot lead a normal and peaceful
life for this unbearable problem. Almost every day we see the news of traffic
jam in the daily newspaper. Now it is going out of control day by day. The causes
of traffic jam are many. It is almost certain that one of the main causes of
traffic jam is the negligence of some people. In the develop country this kind
of problem is very rare. In our country everybody fells the problem badly but
find no way to get rid of. The bad effect of traffic jam is bagger description.
Almost this problem creates a great loose of economic progress and prosperity
of the country. To remove traffic jam Govt. should have taken necessary steps
public awareness is also needed in this respect.
AIR POLLUTION
Air pollution means the

A RICKSHAW
PULLER
A rickshaw puller is a poor day labourer who earns his
livelihood by pulling rickshaw. He is a familiar figure in our
country.Genarally he lives a slum area. He rises early in the morning and has
to work dawn to dusk for a livelihood. He usually lives in a slum and passes a
sub-human life with his family. Most of the rickshaw puller lived from hand to
mouth. Sometimes he fells tired but can’t rest.so the,life of a rickshaw puller
is full of sorrow and suffering.so we should help our rickshaw puller. A
rickshaw puller is an asset to our country.we hope the govt. should feel for
them and do something for the betterment of their lot.
The 21st
February
The 21st February is a red letter day in
our national life.On this day in 1952,the brave sons of our motherland laid
down their lives to protect the interest of our mother tongue. Since
1999,UNESCO declared this day as ‘International Mother Language Day’. This day
is now observed in most of the world. The teaching of the day is that we all
should respect the mother language of others. Our mother language is our unique
possession.The day has historical background. On this day,everybody,wakes up early
and crowds before the martyr’s monument barefooted just to offer their profound
respect to the martyrs. The govt. and different organization arrange programs
to celebrate the day. Meeting and seminars are hold on for focusing the day.
Special prayers are also held for the salvation of the martyr’s soul. The day
is a public holiday.
A book fair
A book fair is an attractive fair where different
types of books are displayed and sold. Now-a-days fairs are becoming more and
more popular in Bangladesh. These are held in different cities and towns on
some special occasion. Every year, the fair is held on the occasion of 21st
February to remind us the struggle and sacrifice in the language movement. Men,
women and children of all ages and classes gathered there. In the evening many
poets, novelists and writers came to the visit the fair. There is a large
number of well decorated and attractive stalls in a book fair. Seminars and
cultural programs were also held at the book fair. Book fair is very important
because it upgrades our thoughts and expands our knowledge.

A village doctor
A village doctor is a person who gives treatment to the
village people at a cheap cost. He is a familiar figure in the villages. He is
a popular figure there. Generally he is not a registered doctor. He receives
some training working under a qualified doctor. Usually he has a dispensary in
his house. Getting up early he attends on his patients. He treats the patient
very carefully. He gives them advice and medicine. After finishing his duty there,
he goes out to see other patient in the villages. Sometimes he spend the whole
night sitting beside a patient. His presence and affectionate touch fill the
patient with hope and courage. He takes small fees from patients. Very often he
gives free treatment to the poor. Really a village doctor is a friend to the villagers.
He is loved and respect by all.
A School Magazine
A school magazine is an annual
publication of a school.Usually,it contains creative writings of the students
and the teachers.It is an important milestone of the progress and prospect of a
school. A school magazine contains poems,short stories,essays,verses,jok and
report of cultural activities of the school. It is usually published once in a
year. To publish a magazine a committee is formed first. The committee collect
and edit writings. The editor selects good ones and sends them to press for
printing.the school authority bear the expenditure of publication.a school
magazine helps the students to develop their latent faculties and their power
of thinking and writing. In fact, it is the stepping stone for the future
writers.
A Rainy Day
If it rains all day long,we call
it a rainy day. In such a day,the sky remains cloudy. The sun is not seen at
all. The day looks dull and gloomy. Something it rains heavily and sometimes it
drizzles.often there are flashes of lighting and roars of thunder in the
sky.birds are hardly seen to fly.cattle keep standing on their sheds.In such a
day,people have to remains indoors. The roads become almost muddy and desolate.
One cannot move from one place to another easily. One does not generally come
out if it is not urgent. The poor suffer much. They cannot go out to do their
work. It is great joy to the students because classes are not held on such a
day. After all, a rainy day gives us both joy and sorrow. It comes to different
classes of people in different ways. I feel very delight in such a day.
A TEA STALL
A tea stall is a common place to all classes of people. In a
tea stall, hot drink or tea is supplied. Biscuits, bread, bananas, petal leaf
are also available here. It is opened early in the morning and closed late at
night. It is usually found at the turn of the road, in the railway or steamer
ghat, near a factory or an office. It is not well furnished. A tea stall has
normally two parts. In the front part there are chairs, tables and show-cases.
In the other part, there is the kitchen. A boy is employed in a tea stall.
Sometimes, two owners himself serves as the boy and the cashier. Different
kinds of people gather here. They discuss current political issue of the
country. Thus a tea stall is a noisy and busy place. Really its utility cannot
be ignored.
